When/where do I get my packet and race bib/chip?

Packet pick up on Saturday from 12:00-5:00pm. It’s very important to make it to the briefing!! If you absolutely cannot make it Saturday to get your packet you can pick it up from 7-8am Sunday morning. Preferably, we would like you to try and make it Saturday so you can go to the Athlete Meeting at 5pm.

What time does the transition area open?

Transition opens at 7am Sunday. It will CLOSE at 8:45am. If you are not set up by this time you will NOT BE ALLOWED in transition and not allowed to race.

Can my friends and family join me in the transition area?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. This is for the safety of YOUR bikes and gear. Friends and family can cheer you on from the side lines.

Can I stage my stuff Saturday?


Is it a mass start or are there heats? What heat am I in?

The swim will start 30 minutes apart for each race. Half at 9:00am, Olympic at 9:30am and Sprint at 10:00am.

Do I have to wear the swim cap you've provided?

YES. The cap is so we can see you, so our life guards can see you and we know you are part of our race. And so you can look super cool, duh.

Do I have to wear a wetsuit?


Are headphones allowed on the bike and run?

No. Neither the run nor the bike will headphones be allowed. Any racer seen wearing headphones will be disqualified. This is for your safety.

Is drafting allowed on the bike?

No. According to USAT rules drafting is NOT allowed on the bike leg.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

YES. You must wear a helmet during the bike leg.

I can't compete, can I transfer my bib number to a friend or get a refund?

There are NO REFUNDS. You can transfer your bib number up to May 1st, 2017

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS. If you cannot race, please email us prior to the race and you can have a credit toward another FTC produced race. You have until the end of the following race season (last FTC race) to use your credit after which it becomes void.

After May 1st all entries are non-transferable and non-deferrable.


There is NO rain date, We Go Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In any case there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complimentary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety.

Can my family member or friend volunteer?
